About:
Hey, so uh… I guess it’s I have to tell you what led us to this point. All right, buckle in. I’ll try to be as honest as possible. Okay? Okay.
So, first off, I was born and raised in a small town called Harrowdale. It’s a nice little town. Well, it is now. It wasn’t when I was growing up, and I was partly to blame for that. Full disclosure, I wasn’t the best community member. Gambling, crime, (some light murder), and stealing were among my weekend routines. My father didn’t approve of all of that (duh). He was a Sorcerer, just like me, and he wanted me to join his circle of Sorcerers. I wasn’t all that into it, and one day, he just disappeared. Poof, just like that. Gone. Everyone in town just assumed that he had died. Me included.
Now, I hadn’t been dependent on him for a while, so I tried to not let if affect me. I just kept going, doing my thing. Until I met George Smith. He came from Velarsburg and he was looking for equipment to travel into the Riven Court. Now, everyone knows that the Riven Court is full of Gnolls, and you don’t go in there unless you have a death wish. So, I sorta lied to him and sold him an animal pelt that I claimed would help him survive it. No harm done, right?
Well, as it turned out, this guy didn’t have a death wish at all. He was traveling into the forest because the Gnolls had kidnapped his son.
People on the outskirts of town could hear his wails as he found what was left of his son.
The only thing worse than his screams, was hearing them stop... and knowing why they did...
This kinda set me into a tailspin. I went even further into debt, began to drink entire weeks away. Until I found an old journal of my father’s. In it, my father talked about me. He made it clear that he cared about me, and that he believe that I was truly destined for great things. If only I had listened to you then, Dad…
One night, I had a dream. In it, I was walking through a forest, but it was all burning. There were people all round me, none of whom I recognized. We were all walking forward towards some hooded figures. One of them was holding a glowing skull. The skull began to pulse, and I woke up. It was an alarming dream, and I had read about having sort of prophetic visions in the past, so I began doing research.
While doing research, I was using some chaotic magic. In doing so, I accidentally teleported several miles away into a forest. I turned around and saw one of the people from my dream. A female wood elf. Who also happened to be aiming her bow at me. I did my best to be friendly (a particular challenge for me) and we set off in search of her missing mentor (who we also later learned was her father. It’s a long story). We came across some of the other people from my dream as well, and we began adventuring as a party.
People have come and gone, and through it all, our goal is to make sure that the dragon goddess Tiamat doesn’t come onto our plain of existence. Simple enough, right? Wrong. Very very wrong…
I ended up finding my father. Although, he was dead for real this time. It turns out, some b***h called Grayur Turin had worked with him and a fellow party member’s grandfather named Orryn Merrin to create a device that could locate items of power to open the gateway to allow Tiamat to return.
Oh, and I have a daughter now. She’s a half Elf, half Gnome, and she is the reason I fight. I want to make sure that the world is safe for her, and I’ll stop at nothing to make that happen.
Let’s see, what else? I also am the president of a fleet of shipping vessels and a regime of assassins. So that’s pretty cool.
Oh, and we ventured into the ethereal plain and met the Unicorn Goddess Meilikki, and now I'm kinda her chosen one. So... yeah.
What I’m trying to get at with all this, is that we have friends. We have power. Tiamat had better watch her back.
